Truth be told, we now live in a lifestyle of surveillence and a police state that has file cabinets and libraries documenting every tag taken everywhere in the streets and the trains of NYC presently and from the past. In 2001, when I was arrested in court by the Vandal Squad and driven up to the Bronx to be re arrested for a separate case, the whole ride up they where bragging about all the albums of photos, personal videos, the revs footage they confiscated during their home raids, at one point even offering me the REVS footage for $2k, then telling me "just wait till I retire, you'll see some amazing stuff pop up on Ebay". Now I know you went thru the ringer and had everything from your son's computer to your Tyson fight tapes taken as so called "evidence", how do you feel about the practices and privelages these officers are given and do feel they're doing their job or taking advantage of powers offered to them?
THE SHITS REALLY FOUL, BUT WE JUST GOTTA FIGHT SOME HOW. WHEN I GOT MY HOUSE RAIDED AND THEY TOOK A LOT OF STUFF I GOT AROUND 95% OF IT BACK. THERE'S REALLY NOTHING YOU CAN DO BUT TRY TO REPLACE IT. I JUST COMPLETED A MAJOR DEAL WITH ADIDAS FOR FOOTLOCKER. FIRST TO BE SOLD EXCLISIVELY TO EUROPE, FOLLOWED BY THE STATES. THIS SHIT IS HOT!!! PEOPLE ARE GOING TO REALLY HATE ON ME WITH THAT SHIT. I know your dead set on continuing to do things the way you do after all these years but you gotta feel in some way looking around the streets of NY and say "Damn, look at all these toys with no respect for their history, not even attempting to make their handstyles or fills look proper anymore". It's easy to conclude that the scene is dead right now. I happen the think there is still a scene, but the scene that is alive is an "invisible" scene in that people do their thing, document it and don't promote it like they may have in the past. I know I see people from other cities passing judgement on what NYC is, based on what they see on websites. When the scene I see walking the streets is totally different. Do you find this to be true now days?
