WORKROOM DAY ONE
Once again, we are out in Vegas for the trade show season. We are premiering our Spring 2012 Collection at the Workroom Show, which showcases an amazing group of progressive designers.
The booth….
Aside from running into friends and meeting with our retailers, we like to walk the show and check things out. Here is a quick glimpse of some of the things that caught our eye.
Mackintosh + Globe Trotter
One of my favorite designers, Nigel Cabourn. Many have tried to replicate but none can come close…
This was a very interesting installation from Levi’s. In the 1920′s, transportation was not as efficient or readily available so salesmen would travel with miniature sample to cut down on their load. Levi’s made a miniature set of key pieces from their vast catalog as part of an installation at the Project Show. The attention to details and finishing is remarkable, nothing was overlooked.
Take a look for yourself….
Now back to running into friends, I haven’t seen Jules (better known as Bijules) in a couple of years. We first met early in our careers and even then she was at the forefront of a entirely progressive approach to jewelry design.
She don’t mess around…
That’s it for today… until tomorrow.
